Future of logistics
The logistics industry is undergoing rapid and unprecedented change. The future of logistics is paved with innovation and technology. It was not too long ago that 3D Printing of things, Drone are used for Deliver today, if we talk regarding our shipping industries, we were not able to get the booking, shipping instruction (SI), VGM, Bill of Lading online, Facilities like shipping bill filling, RFID seals, the faceless scheme of customs, etc. was as imaginary as any fairy tale. No one was willing to believe this hypothesis but it is the reality today.
The logistics sector in India was estimated to be $ 200–215 billion by the end of 2020, predicted by the India Brand Equity Foundation (IFSF). But it is affected due to Covid-19. Our industry will strive to employ around 30-40 million people in India in the future, possibly more than in other parallel industries in India, with the logistics sector expected to become the country’s largest employment producer by 2022.
Yes, there is surprising progress is taking place in the logistics field but at the same time we need to be equally conscious. Due to new dimensions in the IT sector, we are able to see these changes. We are getting a lot of information and facilities without getting out of it. But we have to move beyond our field and learn to work smartly with internet technology. In addition, we have to be aware of misinterpretation, fraudulent, misleading information and civil law.
Hopefully, we will fulfill all these dimensions, and it will become easier to achieve progress in our field.
